If you win Euro Millions jackpot tonight of a cool £166million you become richer than David Bowie and the Beckham’s!
More than 3 million tickets an hour are expected to be sold as sales peak this afternoon (900 per second). A single winner would be the equivalent of 418th on the Sunday Times Rich List, sitting alongside David and Victoria Beckham (£165million) and self-made millionaire and Dragons’ Den regular Theo Paphitis (£170million).
Rod Stewart worth €129 million.
Jamie Oliver worth £106 million
David Bowie worth £100 million.
If the jackpot is not won tonight, it will be frozen at its current level for further draws until somebody does match all five balls in the main draw and the two Lucky Star numbers. Any prize money raised above the £166million cap will be shared between winners in the next prize level down.
Those matching all five balls and one Lucky Star usually stand to scoop about £211,000 but this could be significantly boosted. National Lottery spokeswoman Jenny Dowden said: “We could be creating several UK millionaires in the next prize level down. “On Tuesday, we had five UK ticket-holders matching five numbers and one Lucky Star. “This roll series alone has already raised £70million for good causes here in the UK.
