To make sure that when you make a claim, you get what you’re owed, here’s what you need to do.
1. Tell No Lies
If you’re signing up for a policy or making a claim, you need to make sure that you are being completely honest. If you tell lies, even if they are small and innocuous, you are giving your insurer a reason to reject your claim. Insurance companies will always investigate anything that looks suspicious to them. And that means that they are very good at uncovering lies, no matter how clever you think your lie is. So, be honest and tell the truth. If you do, it will save you a lot of stress later on.
You need to know what you’re getting into when you sign up for an insurance policy. Reading all that small print is not something that many of us do. But that doesn’t make it alright. 4. Complain if You’re Initially Rejected
Having your claim unexpectedly rejected by an insurance company can be shocking. It can feel like you’re being accused of lying when you’ve done nothing wrong. And if you’re already suffering as a result of something that happened to you, the stress can be too much to handle. But don’t just lie down and take the verdict. Many unscrupulous insurance companies think they can get away with this, and it’s up to you to prove they can’t. Keep complaining until you feel like you have the justice you really deserve.
