Ibotta is an app that allows you to get cash back when you shop at certain stores. If you already shop at those stores or frequently purchase certain items, it’s extremely convenient! You can use your phone’s camera to scan or take a picture of your receipt from that store. You then get a partial rebate of the total amount paid into a PayPal or Venmo account. And emphasis on ‘cash’, here! There are a few apps out there like this one, but they usually offer you points or odd cryptocurrencies. Ibotta gives you actual money. Or Starbucks vouchers, if you want those. But again, emphasis on cash!
New mobile apps are always being released, and we’re always downloading them! We’ve probably all figured out by now that some apps are better than others. But what’s the criteria there? Obviously, a game that we can’t stop playing is better than the ones that barely work. A map program that gives you reliable directions is a better bet than one that sends you in the opposite direction. But you know what my favourite kind of app is? One that can make you money. Cash. Dollar dollar bills, y’all.
Of course, we want to be cautious about apps that claim to make you rich overnight. No app has made me rich overnight yet, so I’m going to (perhaps unfairly) assume it doesn’t exist. But there are plenty of apps out there that can make you an extra buck here and there. And that can make all the difference in the long run. Here are some of the options you have.
Fieldagent is one of those things that seem so strange that not even sci-fi writers could have predicted them. Basically, it’s a network in which people send odd jobs through an app. People with the app, called “Agents”, can take on any of those jobs and earn money from them. It’s a real “odd job” type deal. It could be an everyday user who wants someone to grab something from a store for them. It could be a commercial interest who wants people to make sure a billboard or an advert display in a store is looking okay. Once a task is accepted, you have two hours in which to complete the task. You’ll earn a few dollars for your trouble and can move onto another task right away. Some jobs can be done at home, while others use a Google Maps-like interface to assign local tasks.
Maria is a more classic way to try earning money. It’s a casino app! The idea of getting into gambling can be a daunting one for many, but many features of Maria are aimed at beginners. It features performance metrics that allow you to accurately assess how well you’re playing. Earning cash with digital versions of poker and blackjack is definitely a better prospect to some than going to an actual casino! Users can also enter a jackpot for a chance to win big numbers. After a stressful day, it’s pretty cool that we can blow off steam on a mobile game that can earn us a few extra dollars!
